Weekend Photo Dump

And.....it's Tuesday.

Monday's are such a fast day that I'm always amazed when I'm climbing into bed at night that the day is over.

Saturday we had a fun road trip to Missoula.  Visited the Children's Museum (not a big fan, probably won't visit again), had a great lunch and did a little shopping before heading home.

SO proud to announce that #wiggydiggy did GREAT on the road trip.  We did have to pull over once each way for a potty break (this potty chair is the best!) and he even napped without his pull up on!  YAY for being potty trained!!

Sunday was church and a lazy afternoon.
The weather was chilly/rainy and perfect for catching up on chores.

A little homemade drum set music while I made dinner.  Nothing is better than a personal concert from your little boy.

While I focused on some 'Spring Cleaning' laundry (throw blankets, bath mats, etc, etc) the boys took a joy ride in the neighbors Polaris!  The little boy was hooked and whined for another ride all afternoon.  Haha.

Don't worry, we took him out in the golf cart Monday after work.

5 on Friday - Beauty Finds

It's Friday!!  YAY!!!

Justin has been super busy this week preparing for a fundraiser tonight, so #wiggydiggy and I have a date night tonight :)

While I'm counting down the hours until my hot date, I wanted to share some fun beauty finds I've been trying out.

First Up - Que Bella Face Masks
I found these at Target, but you can buy them online in lots of places
I've been wanting to try some face masks, and this was the best way for me to try a bunch out!
Individual masks are anywhere from $2-$5.  Every single one I've tried I have loved.  My favorite was a 24k Gold Mask that made my skin feel like silk.

2)
Dry Bar Detox Dry Conditioner

Now that I'm two months into skipping washes, I've realized that some days I need a bit more extra help to keep my hair looking good.  I saw this when I was checking out at Ulta and decided to give it a whirl.  The smell is good but STRONG.  I noticed immediately it helped with the dry frizz at the ends of my hair.  I'm definitely going to keep this product around!

3)
Yes to Tomatoes Charcoal Mask
A girl friend sent me this for my birthday and I have had so much fun with it!  I already had purchased a few Que Bella masks so I waited a while before using it.

The attached spatula is so nice to help apply even layers, but make sure you put it on thick enough!  My first try was too thin and a pain in the butt to get off.

I only use this mask on my T-Zone. because it really goes after your pores.  Gross.  Also awesome.

4)
This is my favorite Amazon find:
Caetle Beauty Blender
 only $1.99 plus free shipping!!

If you've ever wanted to try a Beauty Blender, go this route instead!!!  I found quite a few at TJ Maxx, but none beat the $1.99 price tag.  Shipping can take a while so I like to order a few at a time.  I will never put my foundation on any other way again.

5)

I'll be honest, I thought the idea behind this was great.  The execution however?  I'm not a fan.
I ordered the travel size thinking it would be a good alternative for my evening face routine while I was on the road.  I even made sure to pack extra cotton pads and cotton balls.  I used Every.Single.One. and my face still wasn't clean of makeup!  I don't wear heavy makeup at all, so this was extremely frustrating to me.

I ended up using my normal face wash (coconut oil) and this became my eye makeup remover.  It doesn't remove all of my eye makeup so once this bottle is done, it won't be re purchased.

#wiggydiggy | 28 Months

#wiggydiggy | 28 Months

nicknames | bug, baby, nugget

weight | around 30 pounds, no clue on height

size | 2T clothes and size 6 shoes

sleep | You like your bedtime around 745 and you wake around 630/7 for breakfast.  You are taking 1 nap a day averaging an hour and half or so at school.  You will sleep up to 3 hours at home. Thank you, thank you, thank you for loving sleep as much as me :)

eats | Your appetite has thinned out some.  Mostly because you aren't growing as fast these days.  You are more particular about food, but you still eat most everything I make.  Applesauce pouches from Costco are your favorite snack.

loves | anything with wheels, balls, and all of my kitchen utensils!  You play with the spoons, forks, spatulas, and whisks all day long.  You really love pulling the pots and crockpots out to make drums and bowls to "help mama" make dinner.

dislikes | Being overtired.  You like to be independent, so you get angry when Dad and I do something for you.

firsts | You are potty trained!  You know your letters, colors, numbers up to 20, shapes, nursery rhymes and a few songs.  You can get yourself undressed (expect for T-shirts over the head) and love to climb up into your carseat.

things to remember | You love to lay in bed with Dad and me every morning before starting our day.  You say Banana 'Bana' and have to eat it by peeling it yourself.  You run to me when I pick you up and always give me a kiss before asking if we can go home and eat a "Mar-mallow" (marshmallow).  You like all of the lights turned on (like mama) when you are in a room.  You don't like your booster seat much; instead you prefer to sit on the bench.  You don't say 'yes' but go 'Uh-huh' with the cutest inflection.  You call the movie Moana 'Iguana' and you LOVE your tricycle.

Easter 2017

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  Our Saturday was lazy, the perfect kind of Saturday.

Sunday we had a wonderful time at church, came home to gifts from the Easter bunny (a bike!), and then over to Nana and Grandpa's after our family nap.

We busted out the confetti filled eggs for some smashing too!

The weather was the pits (again) and poor #wiggydiggy has yet to go on a proper Easter Egg hunt.

Thankfully he's 2 and has no clue what he's missing.

The cousins put on one at Nana and Grandpa's house and this kid had it down pat in 2 seconds flat!

Weekend Happenings

It was rainy and cold this weekend, but #wiggydiggy had a blast!
We met his best buddy at Exploration Works for a morning of fun.  Oh man, that place WORE him out!  Handsome dude only ate yogurt for lunch before crashing for his nap.  I think a membership may be in order.....

Later we headed off to a birthday party at the Carousel.

The rest of our time was spent in our pajamas lounging at home.  Some cupcakes were made, a hundred books were read, and one very long wrestling contest took place.

Now if only Monday could have a Pajama dress code......

5 on Friday - Road Trip Essentials

Happy Friday!

Spring has officially spring in Montana.  Which means rain and ALLERGIES.
I'm a hot mes and using everything OTC I can find to get this itchy eye, running nose, sneezing situation under control.
Fun times!

To distract me from the worst spring I can remember, I'm prepping for our 10 hour road trip in a few weeks.  #wiggydiggy and I are going alone while Dad is headed to a Bachelor party in Vegas.  With #wiggydiggy 90% potty trained (sleeping times are still in pull-ups) it's going to be a fun adventure!

1.
First up - the Britax Seat Protector.  This one is rated for our car seat , but I know there are other brands out there.
This is invaluable for potty training AND the inevitable cup spills.  #wiggydiggy has already tested it out once (by dumping an entire water bottle in his lap) and I was pleasantly surprised how great a job it did.  It collected all the wet and his car seat was spotless!  It was easy to wash and get back in his seat.

2.
Water Wow!
We purchased a three pack before our road trip last year, but #wiggydiggy wasn't really into them.  Now he LOVES them.  I ordered two new ones to surprise him with while we are on the road.
Tip - take all of the brushes, fill them up, and keep them in a baggie.  That way when one runs out, you can pass back another without having to pour water while going down the road.

3.
Fully charged Tablet WITH movies/TV shows downloaded.

We were very strict about TV time up until our lil boy turned two.  Now he loves watching movies and telling me all about the characters adventures.  10 hours on the road is a long trip, so a movie or two to distract him and pass about 3 of those hours will be priceless.

To be perfectly honest - I HATE kids watching TV in the car.  The only time I have bitten my tongue and given in has been on the drive to my parents and back.  I cannot wait until he's reading and I can pass back a new book instead of a tablet.

4.
I found ours at Target on sale, so check there too!

#wiggydiggy saw me taking it out of the bag and he freaked out with excitement.  The stainless steel keeps the water cooler longer with the added bonus of looking like mom and dad's coffee mugs.

5.
Podcasts!

The night before we leave I back up all of my photos, remove them from my phone, and take up all extra space with downloaded podcast episodes.

With all of the travel I do for work, I am almost through their entire archive.  I'm really looking forward to getting totally caught up!

Any good podcasts you love?

Update on Us

First and foremost - Thank you all for your sweet words and prayers.

We are doing well.

Justin and I are a great team.  Since we had walked through a miscarriage before, the road wasn't too unfamiliar.  However, the diagnosis of a tumor was a bit harder to process.

I am so grateful to have such a solid rock to lean on when I need the support.  Justin and I talk a lot so we were able to discuss what we were feeling and thinking at each turn.  Knowing that we walk through life holding hands, it makes each challenge seem less like a mountain and more like a mole hill.

I was mostly terrified of general anesthesia.  I've never had surgery and my only hospital visit was when I had #wiggydiggy.

While my procedure was a common one (D&C) my risks were uncommon.  Molar Pregnancy risks are hemorrhage which leads to an emergency hysterectomy.

Thankfully the surgery went better than expected and my follow-up has been just a miracle upon miracle.  We have no idea what path we will be headed down next, but we are excited to do so holding hands.

And because my husband knows me so well - he asked me to take a photo the night before my surgery.  Here we are in all our make-up free, pajama wearing, wrinkled pillow glory.
