We flew to Wyoming for a week in July. (Technically, we flew to Denver, then drove to WY, but....details)
The last full week of July is one of the best out of the whole year. It's Frontier Days!! Otherwise know as CFD, Largest Outdoor Rodeo, or the Daddy of 'em All.
I grew up in Cheyenne (among other places) and my family still lives there. This is our favorite summer activity to partake in. 9 days of rodeos, night shows, parades, melodramas, pancake breakfasts and cowboys.
