Friday Links

This weekend we are hosting a pumpkin carving party for some of #wiggydiggy's best pals (and their parents!)  I'm not a big Halloween fan, so I could honestly skip to November 1st and be good :)

1.

I can't wait to wear this with leggings this holiday season!

2.
Trying a new Potato Soup Recipe this weekend!
Do you have a tried and true Potato Soup Recipe?  I'd love to try it!

Time to break out the Dutch Oven.

3.
We have made our Thanksgiving plans and I CANNOT wait!!

This year I hope we get to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade with #wiggydiggy and I'll share a fun of these fun Thanksgiving facts!

4.
Cristina at Caroline Charm has THE cutest giveaway!  Go to her page to enter!!
I would LOVE to get a Best Friends Coffee Mug with Montana and Nebraksa
Though - let's be honest, I'd rather be back in Nebraska :)

I think that I may have to get one as a Christmas Gift....

5.
I know I've talked about the best dupe to Lipsense before.  Now I can actually compare to Lipsense.  My bestie mailed me the lipsense she had purchased (and wasn't a fan of) and I did a full comparison.

Uh....so not worth it!  Buy the dupe!

One coat, practically any lip gloss/stick works with it, and it last ALL.DAY.LONG.

My three coats of lipsense and only their gloss lasted until lunch.  Then it looked like I had lipliner on for the rest of the day.  Not really the look I was going for.

Happy Weekend!!

And Happy Halloween Weekend!

A Quick Getaway

My main guy and I took a weekend to spend just being us.

I find it interesting how parents find themselves so focused on their parental role that they forget to focus on their spousal role.

It was so nice (and so very odd) to spend a few hours driving north just talking (without a sweet voice in the back pitching in).

I took quite a few photos.....that I think only ended up on snapchat?  Oh well.  Our cabin was ADORABLE.
When we visited this summer, we chatted with the owners of a children's boutique on the main street.  Not only do they have the cutest items but they are the sweetest people ever!  They recommended Bridge Street Cottages for a stay the next time we came to town.

I am SO glad they did!  We loved it.  I'm already trying to figure out how to get back :)

We stayed in a deluxe river cottage and we both wished we had more time there.  It was the perfect setting and perfect time of year to visit.
View from the bedroom

Packed up and ready to go.

If you are even in Bigfork, MT, I recommend you take a night and stay here.

I'm so lucky he's my guy.

Friday the 13th Edition

Happy Friday the 13th!!

I've never thought of Friday the 13th as *bad*.  Probably because my brother was born on Friday the 13th, and having a brother isn't so bad!  Haha.

1.

First up - our new toothbrushes!
A few weeks ago we stood in the aisle at Target and picked our new toothbrushes.  I mentioned that I wanted an electric toothbrush for Christmas and Justin echoed my sentiment.

A few hours of research later and I KEPT stumbling across Quip.
What intrigued me the most was the 3 month refill program.  A new head AND battery every three months?  Yes please!

Doesn't help that the design is beautiful. :)

2.

My first Ipsy bag arrive and I LOVE it!!
I tried one of my face masks last night.

Family Pictures

We had a mini session Saturday morning and we lucked out BIG time with the weather.  It snowed that afternoon.
We used LC Photography.  She was AMAZING!  I can't wait to take more photos with her!
Now I just have to choose.....

Check out LC Photography if you're in the area!!

#wiggydiggy | 34 months!!

Watching you grow up before our eyes is such a joy and absolutely heartbreaking.

We love you #wiggydiggy!!!

How are you going to be 3 in two months?!

You are SO tall.  Over 34" (I really should measure you soon....) and still thin.  You are wearing 3T tops and 2T jeans.  Some sweatpants are 3T if they have a drawstring waist ;)
Your dad and I laugh at your feet.  You were born with such long feet that seemed to have forgotten how to grow!  Currently in size 7 shoes.

100% potty trained (day and night) and 100% Mr. Independent.  You love your new school and your independence has more than doubled since starting.  You like to clean up after your eat and pick up your toys without us asking (?!?!?!) and you are even using your manners without us prompting!

However, you do scream pretty loud when you aren't getting your way.  We do need to work with you more on using your words vs. hitting when you get angry.  #terribletwos

You tell the most detailed stories about your day at dinner time.  Your dad and I LOVE when you wake up in the morning.  You first demand your applesauce pouch and then you sing us songs.  ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, Ba Ba Black Sheep, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and so on.

I hope you stay our happy and bright boy for the rest of your life.  We love you so much.
