Friday 5

1.
The last two nights I've had to wake up #wiggydiggy to nurse around 3:30 am.  I think he would have slept all night if I hadn't!  As much as I would have loved to sleep from 8:30 to 5:30, I was too uncomfortable.  I'm debating getting a hand pump for nights like that.  Momma's out there - your experiences?  Thoughts?

2.
It's going to be in the low 70's today!  WOO!!  J and I are taking advantage of the nice weather and going to get some yard work and painting done this weekend.

3.
Confession time:
I spray painted the letters for #wiggydiggy's room.  We get ready to hang them up and WHOMP WHOMP!

I spray painted the BACKSIDES!

So the nursery reveal is being pushed back another week.

4.
In in a wine slump.  Any great suggestions for a good spring wine?  I like reds and whites, so don't hesitate to recommend!

Two of my favorites:

5.
Lil man's Easter Basket is full and ready to go.
I fell in love with the basket liners from Pottery Barn Kids, but I found his basket at a consignment store for $0.50.  The liner can be reused every year even if the basket doesn't survive hunting eggs.

P.S.  I buy everything online via EBATES.  If you ever shop online, you HAVE to use ebates!!  Who doesn't love getting cash back for shopping.

The New Normal

It has been a bit hectic over here the past few weeks.  Coming back from maternity leave I was promoted and moved offices. (YAY!)  #wiggydiggy was going full time at his sitter's (Boo :( ) and we ended up having to move him to a new daycare.  So between packing boxes, unpacking boxes, and interviewing daycare's, I haven't had time to catch you up!

The great news is I have a beautiful view - which you can catch on instagram - and I am literally across the street from #wiggydiggy.  I still nurse him at lunch, so it's amazing to walk across the street and get to spend a solid 50 minutes nursing and playing with him.
First day of School!

At home J and I have been figuring out our new routine.  I'm type A through and through, so my Sunday afternoon/evenings are all about prep.  I lay out all of my clothes for the week, pack my lunch box for the week, write out our weekly menu and then do a quick grocery run.  The first week Jn laughed a bit at my slight mania to get everything ready.  Now he's on board and he even lays out all of his clothes too!

Having everything ready for the morning makes my routine smoother.  I always nurse before leaving the house, and I always end up taking more time loving on my lil man than I have.  So those few extra minutes I save can all be used on a few more kisses and baby giggles.  Now my only problem is coming up with great dinners each night.  I don't want to get into a dinner rut - so I'm taking suggestions!!  And I love my crockpot :)  *hint hint*

Also at home I'm trying to get a few projects finished so I can finally show them to you.  Do you remember the project we started before Thanksgiving?  Yeah, that still has one step left before it's finished.  Also, lil man's nursery has some work.  I need to finish painting a few things and get everything up on the wall.  In our true fashion we were sidetracked in a trip to Target and we started updating our living room decor.  Sheesh!  I have a lengthy to do list this weekend.

Friday Faves

-ONE-
My two favorite mascaras:

Benefit They're Real

I use Voluminous daily and They're Real for special occasions.  They are very similar but I feel like They're Real has a little extra pop.

-TWO-
My favorite eye shadows

Naked Basics
Naked 2
Both by Urban Decay

I can't find any drugstore eye shadows that are as amazing as Urban Decay's Naked Palette's.

-THREE-
My favorite concealers

Benefit Erase Paste
Maybelline Age Rewind

I use Age Rewind Daily.  I love how it's light, but has moderate coverage.  I'll add in Erase Paste under my eyes when they are looking a bit 'rougher'.

-FOUR-
My favorite hair products

Bed Head Spoil Me
It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Product

I use Spoil Me every day.  With the dry air in MT, it's easy for my fine hair to go static crazy.  This keeps in check :).  I use It's a 10 Miracle Leave In when my hair is feeling extra dry or needs an extra boost.

-FIVE-
Favorite face care

Cetaphil Antibacterial Bar
Olay Pro-X

#wiggydiggy - 3 Months

#wiggydiggy | 3 MONTHS

nicknames | kid, baby, lil man

weight |
13 lbs 4 oz (give or take an oz)  and just under 25 inches.  As of 3/1/15.

size |  size 2 diapers and 6 month (with the occasional 9 month) onesies and footed pajamas.  It's hit and miss on the brands that fit.

sleep |
Still a great sleeper.  Around 11 weeks I started you on your schedule for daycare to get us used to it.  You DID NOT like being woken up at 7 AM.   It took a few days but waking up early has lead to an earlier bedtime.  Bonus (!!!) you still sleep through most of the night!!  You fuss around 3:30 to nurse and then you go back down.  And with this new night schedule I've started to see your naps turning from 'lots of cat naps' to 'a few long naps'

eats |
Still a great eater.  However, if you have a bottle, it has to be very warm otherwise you won't eat it.  100% breast milk fed baby and you wouldn't want it any other way.  You finally have a set schedule:

Nurse at 3:30AM and then I wake you to nurse at 6:50
Bottle at 9:30
Nurse at noon
Bottle at 2:30
Nurse at 5 and then again at bedtime (around 7:30/8)

loves |
Your hands (especially in your mouth), the ceiling fan, your blanket to sleep, and being held upright.

dislikes |
change in your schedule, bubbles in your tummy and realizing momma's gone

firsts |  Having momma at work!  Having Grandma watch you and first day at your sitter's (this one squeaked in on the very last day).  First laugh.

Momma |  I soaked up as much time with you this month as I could.  I headed back to work at 12 weeks and it was ROUGH being away from you for just 4 hours.  At 13 weeks I move back to full time.  Thankfully I'll visit you at lunch to nurse so it won't feel so long.  Learning to pump in the work environment hasn't been as hard as I thought, but it does take a bit longer to set up and get going than I'd like.  Still not feeling sleep deprived (thank you baby, you are the best) which makes going to work easier.

Daddy | Daddy is responsible for drop off in the morning and I think he really enjoys some one on one time with you then.  He love taking naps with you on the couch and he's the best at getting you to "talk".  Daddy's favorite activity is to make you smile and giggle.  We're both ready for some more 'big kid' laughs though!
