It's Over!

Maternity leave that is :(  I have an AWESOME job and coordinated my first week back at part time.  Technically I'm not due back until Wednesday, but I thought easing myself back into work would hurt less.  And my co-workers are happy to have me back a few days early :)

I am beyond grateful that my mom is here to help us with the transition as well.  This week she's our 'daycare' while we figure out our new routine.  Next week we'll take our lil man to his babysitter in the mornings and Grandma will watch him in the afternoon.  I am going to CRY the first time he heads off to the sitters.  Leaving him with mom is so much easier!  Now I just need to convince her to stay.......

He's my favorite person.

Five on Friday

1.
It's only February, but I'm thinking of bikini season.  (Lilly Pulitzer brand shop at Target especially)  Summer always sneaks up on me. Am I right, or am I right?  With that in mind I've been focusing hard core on getting a workout in daily.  Since the weather has been in the 50's, #wiggydiggy and I are going on 2 mile walks.  I wish we had a jogging stroller so I could jog, but I'll take what I can get :)  Also, I found a TON of great pins on Pinterest for At-Home workouts.  I choose one a day and so far I'm loving it.

2.
With toning up taking care of, I'm also trying to lose a few more pounds.  Since having #wiggydiggy I revamped my diet to put the best I could into my body and now I'm going to tweak it a little more.  I'm already below my pre-pregnancy weight, but I'd love to drop just a few more.  Already I can tell a difference in the way my clothes fit!  Pants are a bit looser but my tops.......boobs.  That's all I have to say.

3.
#wiggydiggy and I are finally on a consistent schedule.  The first two months my only focus was to love on him as much as possible.  I don't know if I'll be able to be a SAHM in the future so I took full advantage of my time with him.  He's such a laid back kid that he took to a schedule with ease.  I only hope he transitions to daycare just as easily!  Only three weeks left :(

4.
Ju and I are celebrating Valentine's Day all weekend :)  Dinner out on Friday night, all day shopping/outing on Saturday and family only time on Sunday!  I'm so excited for some quality time with my two main men.

5.
Speaking of shopping, my "Post Baby Wish List" for Saturday is surprisingly short.
b. Black Cardigan and White Cardigan (staples that I need to replace)

P.S.  How in the world do I make a collage?  Google is failing me :(

What's in my Bag

I'm a big fan of Hannah at Gokie Notes and I thought I'd follow her lead by joining up with the Lily Jade Giveaway link-up.   I love seeing what other women carry in their purses (it's my version of reality TV since I don't watch reality TV)  Also, every Friday I change out his extra clothes so it was the perfect time to snap a few pictures :)

My purse is a Brahmin bag that doubles as my diaper bag.  It was a gift from my mom and I LOVE it. #wiggydiggy has a diaper bag that will go with him to daycare or with J when they are out and about.  I wanted a purse that would be big enough to double as both yet stand up to the test of time as well as stay looking classic.

#wiggydiggy - 2 Months

#wiggydiggy | 2 MONTHS

nicknames | kid, baby, little man

weight |
12 lbs 5.5 oz. and 24 inches long!!

size |  size 2 diapers and 3 or 3-6 month onesies and footed pajamas.  You have long torso like me so we have to go up a size to get the length to fit you!  Though a good portion of your 0-3 month pants fit perfectly.

sleep |
You are sleeping through the night!  And by 'sleeping through the night' I mean you have one dream nurse session around 3am and keep right on sleeping until morning.  These past two weeks we've worked on getting your bedtime at 9. I'd like it earlier but I'm taking it one day at a time. 9 is still better than 11!

eats |
You are a champion nurser!  During the day you eat every 2-3 hours until about 6pm.  Then you eat almost every hour until you go to sleep.  During the night you sleep around 4 hours before wanting to nurse and you go down for another 4 before you want breakfast.

loves |
being cuddled by momma, copy-cat noises from daddy, ceiling fans, tummy tickles and your paci

dislikes |
being swaddled, waiting for a meal, having momma gone

firsts |  being babysat by Nana! Meeting Papa, Uncle Matt and Aunt Melissa. First shots. Baptized on 1/31/15!!

Momma | still able to get a shower in every day.  Hallelujah!  I took the first month off from working out to just enjoy being a new mom but now I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.  While you nap I try to get a few chores and some light weights in and we will occasionally lunge up and down the hall during the day.  I need to find a good rhythm so I can get a really good workout in each day.  Suggestions?

Daddy | Daddy has been back at work and we miss him greatly.  When he's home he's super hands on and loves playing with you so I can make dinner.  Being a dad suits him and we love every minute that he's home.  He even takes over carrying you everywhere!  (And changing your diaper in stores.)  How did we get so lucky?
