Five on Friday

WOO HOO!!  It's Friday!!

This week has been rainy, overcast, and downright dreary.  But today the sun is out and the temperatures are up!  We have plans to take a road trip on Saturday, so please keep your fingers crossed that the sun stays shining.

Here are my five favorite things from this week.

1.
Eye masks from Amazon

I am hard core on the facial pampering train with no plans to get off anytime soon.  I do my face masks on Sunday nights, but I really felt like my eyes needed some specific TLC.  I have done two of these eye masks and I love them!  The crow's feet that have started deepening are less noticeable!  I'm also guilty of leaving them on MUCH longer than 15 minutes.  Mostly because they aren't bothersome and I get busy with #wiggydiggy's night time routine :)

2.
Yesterday the lil guy helped me make cupcakes (and then proceeded to eat most of the sprinkles!)
Silicone Cupcake liners from Amazon

3.
Rent the Runway

We have a wedding in June back in Nebraska that I CANNOT WAIT FOR.  Because it's in Nebraska.
My shoes are purchased and my dress is reserved.

4.
J Crew Factory
I love this store and just a bit ago they had a great sale going on.  I snagged a few items for this summer that I am so excited about.

All of these would look cute with shorts or skinny jeans.

5.
I swear I don't shop all the time.
This week I went through all the baby gear and clothes #wiggydiggy has outgrown and listed them on our local resale site.  An entire bag of brand name clothes is headed to ThredUp ($10 off code!) and we are gearing up for a garage sale.  I swear, this will be my last garage sale.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Five on Friday - Mother's Day Edition

I'm sad to see September Farm and The Farmer's Wife closing down their link-up.  With summer heading our way quickly, I can see fewer blog posts in everyone's future though :)

Onward and Upwards!

Mother's Day is this weekend and I hope every one has a wonderful day spoiling their moms and being spoiled (if they are a mom).

Here are the top items on my Mother's Day Wishlist.  I'm a very practical gift giver/wanter (is that a word?  No?  oh well)  Two years ago I asked for a stick vacuum and Justin and I both agree it's the best gift we still use to this day.

1.
Getting my Tahoe detailed.

It's in the shop now and I should be picking it up after lunch!  I found a local place that does chemical free steam cleaning and they clean your car seat for free!!  Hallelujah for a crumb/dirt/spilt coffee free ride.

2.
Spiralizer
I have been wanting one for a while and now that zucchini is really coming into season, it's time to start making zoodles!
I'm also planning on making some sweet potato curly fries this weekend.  Fingers crossed!

3.
A Ringly Bracelet

This is definitely a more impractical gift, but I love that it can replace my fitbit AND be connected to my phone.  I would love to keep my phone down more but not worry about missing calls/notifications from important numbers.  My size is currently sold out but the second it's restocked, that beautiful piece of jewelry is getting ordered.

4.
A Roomba

This probably will end up being my Christmas gift.....as always...a vacuum :)  Haha!
But really, this would be amazing.  I love that it has an app so I can run it remotely.

5.
A Family Day on Sunday

No brunches!

I'm open to take out though ;)

Have a Happy Mother's Day!  I hope the weather is sunny, the kids are happy, and you get a full night's sleep.

Quick Cheyenne Trip

While Dad was in Vegas for a Bachelor party, #wiggydiggy and I drove to Cheyenne to get in some quick family time.

#wiggydiggy did SO WELL on the drive down and back.  We stopped half way (Sheridan, WY) at the same McDonald's so he could play in the play place and burn some energy off.

We arrive Thursday afternoon just when the kids were getting out of school.  Those boys immediently grabbed the basket of balls and spent the rest of the evening playing outside in the gorgeous weather.

Friday, my sister-in-law and I drove to Denver for a 'Mom's Day Out' in Cherry Creek.  We started at Dry Bar for a little pampering before hitting the mall for some hard core shopping.  We also stopped at Ikea for some picture frames before driving home that afternoon.  I really wanted to stop at the outlet mall in Loveland but the traffic was so horrible I decided to skip it.  Not worth the headache.

Saturday was a fun family day with my youngest nephew.  First stop was my brothers house to check out the barn, garden, and play in the dirt :)  Then my mom, nephew, #wiggydiggy, and I stopped at the library to check out Free Comic Book Day.  After lunch and naps we headed to the park.  Once #wiggydiggy saw the helicopter doing maneuvers, his eyes never left the sky.  We walked over towards the lake to get a better view and that little boy RAN across the sand and sat down to take off his shoes at the water's edge.  No fear in him!  Haha.
