Essential Oils - Roller Ball Addition

A while back I talked about my introduction into the world of essential oils/going chemical free.
(See Here)

**Important note: not all essential oils are created equal. The only oils I can recommend in good conscience are Young Living essential oils.**

Over the past few months, I've done a bit of research and experimenting and I wanted to share a few more tips with you!

These roller balls from Amazon are fantastic.

I also order Fractionated Coconut oil from Amazon as well.

I utilize Pinterest as often as I can, but I feel like every time I pin an essential oil tip, the pin is taken down (copyright request).  I've learned to check the website link ASAP and write any recipes down that I like.

How to Use:

I fill my roller ball 3/4 full of Fractionated oil, then put in my Essential Oils.
Shake and roll on when ever you want!

Favorite Recipes:

Sleep Blend
Equal drops of Lavender and Peace and Calming
(use fewer drops for younger children)

Uplifting "Chiropractor in a Bottle" Blend
10 drops Valor

(this oil can also be used neat, but I like the roller ball for easy use)

Fever Reducer
10 drops Peppermint
(use fewer drops for young children - only apply to bottom of feet)

I use this one on #wiggydiggy anytime he begins to run a fever, typically when he's teething, and IT WORKS!

I also use Lavender alone and Peace and Calming alone.  I carry Peace and Calming with me everywhere.

Do you have any favorite roller ball recipes?

Glacier Mini Trip

Over Memorial weekend, we loaded up the car and drove up to Whitefish for a long weekend.

And with a trip to Whitefish, we had to go to Glacier National Park!

We started by walking around Apgar Village and then McDonald Lodge

My Favorite Photo of all time.  I'm currently looking a frame so I can print it and keep it hung in our home forever:

Sunday morning, we woke early and headed back into the park for a little hiking before driving home.

#wiggydiggy wanted to touch every tree we passed.  J obliged a few times.

Two deer were on the Avalanche Trail!

5 on Friday

Five favorite photos from our BFF photoshoot:

It's really hard living so far away from my best friend and favorite city.  I try to get back once a year, and this year I was able to stay for 8 days!  Because our time is so limited, Joslyn suggested a photoshoot.  She has the BEST photographer - Amanda Nohavec - and Amanda captured the best photos despite 90 + degree heat and 80 + humidity.

I'll treasure these photos for years.

Entryway Demo

Our entry way used to look like this:
2014 baby shower
See that green astro turf?

I don't really have a good 'before' photos.  Because who wants photos of green astro turf?
Progress photos:

I originally wanted a turquoise color, but Justin didn't like the look, so we went back and picked a sky blue.

It's just temporary and fun until we have our new door:

My current choice

I'm still thinking I'll paint it a light turquoise :)

Happy 4th

Our 4th of July looks a little differently than it did a few years ago.

Now we have a kiddo who goes to bed at 8, and it doesn't get dark until after 10.  So we haven't seen fireworks for the past two years.  Oh well!  Not the end of the world.

Instead we soak up some sun, relax in the shade and say prayers for those who are protecting our country.

**Disclaimer - he only goes life vest free when we are anchored and doing diaper/clothes changing.**
