20 Weeks - Half Way!

How far along:  20 weeks

Baby size:  Ultrasound said around 15 oz
I, however, don't believe a measurement that comes from any of those appointments.
So...anywhere from 10-15 oz.

Baby's progress:  Baby is swallowing and filling their digestive track

Weight gain:   5 pounds!!

Stretch marks:  Nope, and I hope it stays that way

Sleep: This week was blah.
I was hit with the stomach bug  after Christmas and haven't slept well.

Gender: Coming to a hospital near us this May!

Movement:  Oh lordy yes.
This baby is a tumbler.  Such a different experience from #wiggydiggy!

Best moment this week: Ultrasound, heartbeat and Christmas with our 3 year old (such a fun time this year!!)

Looking forward to:  Some pampering time next week.  Haircut, pedicure, and girl time :)

Food cravings:   Wendy's Lemonade

Belly Button - In or Out:  Half and half.  The top half wants to poke out, but mostly lays flat.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Food aversion is still around.  I cannot stand meat and I have a hard time eating.  My stomach bug made my aversion ramp up and I'm struggling to eat anything.

Wedding Rings - On or Off:  On. Somehow it's looser now than 20 weeks ago?

Labor signs: Nope

What I miss:  Extremely hot baths with a glass of wine.

Symptoms: Belly, belly, belly, and belly.

Workouts: Joined a new gym!  I'm excited to ramp up the incline on a treadmill and break a sweat.

Things that suck:  Stomach bug while pregnant.  Woof.

Things that don't suck:  I've reached the point where strangers want to "help".  It's so sweet (but currently unnecessary)  Check back in about 10 weeks friendly strangers!

Easy Cinnamon Roll Waffles

A special breakfast treat in our house is Cinnamon Roll Waffles.

All three times I had friends ask me how I did it.

It's so simple that it's self explanatory!

1. You need a waffle maker.
That's the big item :)

Oh, and some packaged cinnamon rolls!

2.
Put a roll in each section

3.
Bake

4.
Smell the deliciousness

5.
Squeeze on the icing

6.
Enjoy!

Friday 5 - Christmas Countdown

I had big hopes last weekend that I was all done for Christmas and could just enjoy the last week before the big day.
-insert evil laugh here-

1.
Last minute gifts
I thought I was done.  My list was all checked off and then I remembered - TEACHERS!
I'll run out at lunch to buy #wiggydiggy's teachers their Christmas gifts and then I should be
D.O.N.E. done.

2.
Cookies!
#wiggydiggy and I will be baking sugar cookies for the jolly man this weekend.
I had big plans to make our own dough this year.....and now I'm all about the pre-packaged stuff :)
I think if I wasn't pregnant, and I had some more energy during they day, we'd make homemade.  Oh well, there's always next year!

3.
Hosting Christmas Eve

We found out Monday that my mother-in-law doesn't have her dining table yet.  On Wednesday she officially asked us to host in her place.

I'm a planner and like to know these things at least a month in advance.....oh well.
I had to go to the grocery store yesterday (I try to avoid like the plague the week before Christmas!) and wasn't even able to get my entire list.

I'll be busy this weekend finishing up grocery shopping, cleaning, and prepping for our family Christmas Celebrations.

4.
Toy Assembly
We are going to help Santa out this year and assemble his gift Christmas Eve after #wiggydiggy goes to bed.
And by we - I mean Justin.
Our big gift to the lil man is an Amazon Kids Fire and some headphones.
A necessary purchase when we drive 10 hours to visit family!
I need to download all of his movies and set up parental controls so this is good to go on Christmas morning.

5.
Christmas Light Tour
#wiggydiggy is OBSESSED and points out every single house that has lights.  The perk to living so far north is that it's getting dark when I pick him up from school, so we get to enjoy some lights on the way home :)

Sadly, I don't think this will happen this year since we are hosting dinner and family presents on Christmas Eve.
Cue the hormonal tears

How rude would it be to kick everyone out at 7:30 so we can drive around to look at lights?
Asking for a friend ;)

I really am looking forward to Christmas, and so is Justin.  Having all of our plans change a few days before have thrown a wrench in our attitudes though.
I'm so grateful that we celebrate Christmas Day with just us in our home.
That is honestly what I'm looking forward to the most.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!  I hope your Holiday is Merry and Bright.

19 Weeks

 Current Update:

I can definitely see/feel/am aware of the bump now.  I finally 'feel' pregnant.

Weight:  No change

Stretch marks: Nope
I have noticed my belly getting itchy.  So now I'm putting on lotion in the morning and at night.

Sleep: I'm sleeping well, I just wish I could get a few more hours here and there.

Gender: A surprise!

Movement: Wiggling and kicking/punching.

Best moment this week: Christmas is all done!  Having that stress off my shoulders is so nice.  Now I feel like I can relax and enjoy the holidays and the growing bump.

Looking forward to: Christmas!

Food cravings:  No cravings, but I'm leaning towards carbs at each meal.

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly.

Symptoms: Kicks and squirms, tire quickly.

Workouts: Light weights, lots of squats.

Things that suck: No more HOT baths :(  Man, I would love one so badly right now.

Things that don't suck: I'm feeling great, so I'm counting my blessings.

Pancakes and Pajamas

On December 2nd, we threw #wiggydiggy's 3rd birthday party.

I wanted a simple theme with easy food since we would be hosting at our home again.
(Last year we went to the carousel)

I saw these adorable invites on Etsy and the theme was set!

I made a double batch of pancakes and roll of cinnamon roll waffles.
Seriously - the easiest thing to make and always a huge hit!
I'll post the 'recipe' soon!

There was a coffee bar for the adults and juice for the kids.

Us parents let the kids run around the living room and toy room until it was time to sing Happy Birthday and open gifts.

Nothing better than wearing pajamas until noon :)
(Especially with a baby bump! haha)

After gifts, the kids went back to playing for about an hour and then everyone headed home.

I was pleasantly surprised my house wasn't destroyed!
I have no clue how that happened, but I'm not going to complain.

#wiggydiggy had the best time playing with his friends and he's already asking if he can turn 4 and have another party.

Friday 5 - Randoms

 Happy Friday!

1.
My picture for yesterday isn't loading......check back, I'm going to keep trying!

2.
Christmas shopping is 99% done.  I have one more item for Justin that needs to get picked up, and then I just have a few items left to wrap!

God Bless Amazon Prime.

The only items I bought in stores this year were the stocking stuffer goodies and a few gift cards!

I'm dreading going to the post office on Saturday to mail out two packages and all of our Christmas cards.  Yikes.

3.
I tried Lipsense again.
Another epic fail.
Four coats, their gloss only, and my top lip was totally bare after lunch.

Another reason to sick with my Maybelline Superstay 24 lipstick!
I put it on yesterday morning and it was still there AFTER DINNER.

I think I'm going to get Blush On as my next color.

4.
I need some good book suggestions.  I cleaned out my Kindle book list (too many crappy free books) and I'm dying for something great to read.

Suggestions?

5.

They are my favorite online consignment store.  I just scored some new J. Crew Shorts (with tags!) and a button down - all for $19!

I'm also ready to order a clean out bag to ship all of my maternity clothes off.
I just have to wait 5 more months.....

18 Weeks

 Current Update:

I'm sore.  Just achy all over.  Not sure if I'm coming down with a cold or I'm just growing.

Weight:  A pound or two.  The only upside to having no appetite while pregnant.
Kidding.  Kidding.
I have to force down a carnation instant breakfast every morning and I struggle to eat throughout the day.  Dinner time is the worst. :(

Stretch marks: Nope
I swear by Burts Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter.  Smells amazing and is super hydrating.

Sleep: Still an early bedtime and naps on the weekend.

Gender: A surprise!

Movement: Wiggling and kicking/punching.

Best moment this week: Coming home to my baby after a week.  His 20 minute hug and 100 kisses when I walked in the door were the highlight of my year.

Looking forward to: Christmas!

Food cravings:  Cold water and carbs.  I'm still not able to eat much.

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly.

Symptoms: Bump.  Sore boobs.  Constantly needing to pee!

Workouts: Light weights, lots of squats.

Things that suck: Headaches.  This started after coming home from Hawaii and I'm thinking it's due to altitude and needing to drink more water.

Things that don't suck: Feeling the baby move!  GAH!  I love it so much!!

Hawaii Recap

To be totally honest, our trip wasn't the best.

We spent too much time driving around in the Jeep to not spend any real time at the destination we got too.

We spent the first three days dealing with dumb drama back home (it had to be dealt with, our kid was being impacted.)  That ruined the first half of the trip for me.  We did learn that we can never leave #wiggydiggy behind again.  We'll bring him and, most likely, my mother along.

Now - #wiggydiggy did AWESOME with us gone.  He told his MeMaw (my mom) every morning that 'Mama and Daddy are on a trip and I'm home with you!'.  My mom said he never cried and was happy the whole week.

Back to Hawaii.

It was colder than I expected.  I wish I had packed more pants and a good light jacket/sweatshirt.

Laying out in the sun was nice, because it never got over 79 the whole time we were there.

I still can't get over the stunning views.  One direction was gorgeous blue ocean and the other was lush green mountains.

The humidity level was perfect.  Coming home to dry Montana (ugh, this place is the WORST) was actually painful.  My skin hurts :(

There are chicken everywhere.  And by chickens - I also mean Roosters.  You could hear them crowing all day long no matter where you were.

If you've ever watch Moana, you know about Hehe.  The scene where he freaks out on the raft in the ocean?  #wiggydiggy's favorite part.  Justin and I would crack up every time one crowed!  Haha.

17 Weeks

Island hair and no make-up.  Ah, I miss the humidity.

Current Update:

My due date has been pushed back a few days (considering it changed three time with #wiggydiggy, this does not surprise me at all).  I have no clue how their whole system works, but hey, at least it's within the same week!

Weight:  No change

Stretch marks: Nope

Sleep: I still want my bedtime at 7PM, haha.  I'm sleeping good through the night but I'm waking before my alarm every morning.

Gender: A surprise!

Movement: YES!!  Baby is shifting all around and I love feeling the movement.  Justin can feel baby at night when I lie down and they push against his hand.

Best moment this week: HAWAII!

Looking forward to: Christmas!

Food cravings:  Cold water.

What I miss: A nice frozen cocktail would be delicious right about now....

Symptoms: Bump.  Tired.  So far that's it.

Workouts: Light weights, lots of squats.

Things that suck: Fewer of my clothes are fitting.  Boo.

Things that don't suck: Feeling the baby move!  GAH!  I love it so much!!

#wiggydiggy - 3 Years

#wiggydiggy | 3 Years

nicknames | bug, munchkin, baby

stats | 31 lbs (44%)  height 38 1/2" (77%)

clothes | 3T clothes and size 7 shoes

sleep | You like your bedtime around 830PM and you wake around 630AM .  You are taking 1 nap a day at school (2 hours long).  Naps at home range from 2 to 3 hours.

eats | You eat big breakfasts and lunches, but dinner is hit or miss.  Sometimes it's one bite of everything and that's it.  Other times you clean your plate.  You eat applesauce by the gallon and expect at least two every night before bed!

loves | SPORTS!  All sports all the time.  Your other love is Might Machines - aka Construction Equipment.   You know all of their names and could play for hours in the dirt digging and dumping with your trucks.

dislikes | Having to stop playing for any reason.

firsts | You have an amazing memory and come home singing new songs almost every day.  This year you started peddling your bike (instead of pushing using your feet), started your first chores (picking up toys and cleaning your plate after meals), and we finally turned you around in your car seat!  You moved to a new school and you are THRIVING.

Mama |  You are so smart!  You sing so many songs and are constantly surprising me with your stories.  You love to snuggle and you are so excited to be a big brother.  Some days you still look like a baby to me.  Others I can see you as a teenager and my heart breaks a little.  As much as I want to keep you at this age; so inquisitive and happy, I know that you are growing up right before my eyes.  I love your imagination (like building your own T-Ball stand in our living room!  We didn't know you even knew about T-Ball stands!) and how you tell us stories about your day.

I love you so much sweetheart.  I pray that as you grow you will keep your generous and kind heart.  (and please keep giving me 100 kisses a day.)

Daddy | You are 3 years old and wow how the time has flown by.  You are an amazing kid with an incredible vocabulary.  I hear regularly from people who marvel at how well you speak and how many words you know.  You are also my little busy bee whether it be your Tonka Trucks or your many sports interests.  I love you so much and I love each and every day I get to spend with you.  I love seeing your smiling face when I come through the door after work and I love hearing your laugh in the morning.  Happy birthday my dear boy!  Daddy

Friday 5 - Baby Purchases

After this past spring, we sold or gave away practically all of our baby stuff.

So with this very happy blessing, it's like we have to start all over again!  The only items I hung on to were some baby blankets.  No gear, no clothes, no toys.

Thankfully Black Friday and Cyber Monday came through for us!

First up

Amazon had a flash sale so I jumped on it as quick as I could.  I've never seen the price that low!  As long time lovers of Britax, this car seat was at the top of my list.

2.
Not necessarily for the baby....

Another amazing sale (with an extra 15% off on Cyber Monday!).  The car seat in Justin's car just hasn't held up and we've had our eye on replacing it for a while.  We wanted a Britax Marathon  like we have in my car, but since #wiggydiggy only rides in dad's car to school, we bit the bullet and went for it.

3.

It's not the exact color I wanted, but less than $40, I could.not.pass.it.up.
We plan to have the baby room in with us for at least the first 6-8 months (as long as they are nursing at night) so this was necessary!

4.

I loved my Beco, but I sold it.  WAH!  This carrier was second on my list at the time and I love the new 'zipper' feature.  It just arrived and it's so pretty!  Haha.

5.

I updated my Amazon subscription so these suckers are arriving every month.  I'm hoping by the time baby arrives we'll have a stockpile to get us through the first year (or two!)

Side note - I love Amazon subscription.  I now have enough items on rotations (lotion, body wash, mascara, diapers, etc, etc, etc) that I get at least 20% off every month.  God Bless Prime.

If you do not EBATES, you SHOULD!!!  It's free money you are leaving on the table when you online shop.
