Friday Five

I'm ba-ack!

Well, kinda sorta, in a 'I-have-so-much-to-catch-up-on' kind of way.

Let's recap, shall we?

1.
December is my busiest month at work.  Add in a first birthday, multiple holiday parties, last minute shopping and Christmas and you get total chaos in the Wigdiggity household.  Which also means you have a slew of posts coming at you in the near future!

2.
I have a 1 year old.  I'm still trying to wrap my head around that one.  The newborn phase was my favorite - the unlimited snuggles, long nursing sessions and baby wearing everywhere.
Now he's into play dates and walking.

3.
Do you follow September Farm?  She's awesome and is challenging her readers to participate in an 8 Week Tone It Up Challenge.  I'm late to the game, but I'm starting my 8 week workout this weekend!
If you have a fitbit - send me an email and I'll add you!  I need more inspiration to kick my flabby butt in to gear.  You in?

4.
January is birthday month - aka Cake All Month.  Even when I'm in my 60's, I'll still kick off January with a cake and eat a piece every day until my birthday :)

(which is another reason I need to join the Tone It Up Challenge)

5.
This winter has been rough on us in other ways - one of us has been sick since Thanksgiving!  Thankfully we've just been battling colds, but over the past week I noticed #wiggydiggy's cold was getting a new wet cough that showed up sporadically at bedtime.  I decided to take him to the Dr and we were fortunate to catch RSV in the early stages.  Still, nothing breaks a mama's heart like watching her baby struggle to breathe with a mask on. :(

Good news is after 24 hours of his nebulizer, he's bounced back to his happy self.  Only a few more days and we'll be back to normal!

  1. Ah breathing masks and little ones are so difficult. Last year we had to use it on my daughter a few times and she was NOT a fan. This school year we haven't had to break it out yet, but she definitely has had her share of runny noses. Hope baby feels better soon!
