22 Weeks

How far along:  22 weeks

Baby size:  A spaghetti squash or papaya- 11 inches and 1 pound

Baby's progress:  Developing tiny tooth buds and features are becoming more distinct.  Baby is sleeping in cycles.

Weight gain:   0 pounds

Stretch marks:  No ma'am!  I'm still in LOVE with my Mama Bee's.

Sleep: Pillow Fortress = Great Nights Sleep

Gender: Check back in December!

Movement:  All the time now.  Some big movements and lots of small ones.

Best moment this week: My appetite is beginning to come back!  As long as Justin distracts me during meal time, I'll eat most of what's on my plate.

Looking forward to: My mom's visit

Food cravings: I don't think I've had a 'craving' yet.  I'm leaning towards salty food, but there isn't anything that I HAVE to have.  I'm still loving salads.

Belly Button - In or Out:  In, but much shallower.

Anything making you queasy or sick: The smell of cooking meat.  I can't wait for this one to end.

Wedding Rings - On or Off:  On. Thankfully we never got it re-sized and it's a touch loose.

Labor signs: No and I'm hoping they stay away for at least the next 14 weeks.

What I miss:  Nothing really.  I feel great, my mood is upbeat and I'm loving being pregnant.

Symptoms: Some tailbone pain when I sit at work too long, nothing a walk won't fix.

Workouts: Walks at work and home in the evenings and home workouts with weights.

Things that suck:  Clothing not fitting.  It's getting frustrating having to weed more items out of my closet.  I don't really want to buy any more items, but I know I'm going to need to get a pair of jeans for the fall/winter and some more cami's.  My Niki Biki Cami's are rocking it and my others aren't going to stretch with my belly anymore.

Things that don't suck:  My mood!  Happiness is contagious, which makes me happier every day!

Weekend Wrap Up - Landscaping version

I have a confession to make.  Power tools and I are not the best of friends.  Then I was introduced to our electric hedger.....long story short, I have a new best friend.

Friday after work Justin pulled out the weed eater for me so I could start attacking the overgrown gardens.  Lovely lovely husband that he is, he was concerned the weed eater would vibrate too much and hurt me and the baby.  So after I attacked one small garden he offered me the option to trim the hedges.  I must admit, the hedger looked like a lot more fun.  In fact, it looked like SO MUCH FUN that I didn't take a single 'Before' Picture.  But I can assure you, it was a jungle out there.  Saturday morning I woke up at attacked our front yard.

Got to love iphone quality photos!
I cut back the short hedges under the flower boxes to the edge of the garden to make mowing easier, as well as trimmed all of the little trees to be the same height.  I like uniformity :)

The two bottom photos - in the beginning, the growth was so thick that you couldn't see the white fence and half of the bushes had grown over into the neighbors yard.  Photo one - I took a quick potty break while Justin raked out my demolition.  Photo two - all trimmed up.  Yes, I do know this isn't the BEST time of year to cut back our hedges.  With lava rock on it's way out, it was the best time for us to get some yard work done before we do more in the fall.

Sunday I nursed some sore arms/shoulders and spent the day inside baking and doing laundry.  I washed a few loads of baby clothes (!!!!) and started figuring out how I want to organize the baby's room.  I also tried a new recipe from Pinterest.

Banana Cake Recipe
It sounded simple and easy enough and I needed to use up the four small bananas that were past their prime.  When I opened the Pin on my phone, it said that I needed to choose my box flavor and modifications, but I could never find them on the mobile web version.  So I just did the basic recipe.

One box Spice Cake mix
3 eggs
1/3 cup oil
4 small mashed bananas

So So Good!!  I love the spice flavor and it's just a little denser than regular banana bread.  It's already half gone :)

Oh Hey! Confessional Friday

Earlier this week I was floored August was almost here.  Now, I'm overjoyed.  July is always such a BUSY month.  There is never enough time to get everything in and my to do list always collects dust.  Fall can start showing up now :)

-One-
In anticipation of getting our to do list back on track, I posted on our Helena Classifieds site: One trash can full of lava rock - free - you haul.
I had no idea what was going to happen.  20 minutes later I have messages coming from every direction of people wanting to come shovel out our gardens and haul it off....for FREE!!

Looks like we are going to work on landscaping projects instead of the bathroom for now.  If you didn't know (which most of you don't) our yard is fully landscaped.  The entire perimeter of our house, fences, trees and side yard are all encased in at least three feet of lava rock.  It's been a daunting task that Justin and I have been dreading getting to and now that's all going to change.  Exciting!

Just a teeny tiny preview of what we are working with

-Two-
This week has been a roller coaster with friends.  A girlfriend fell off the radar about a month ago and just showed back up angrier than ever at me.  I had sent texts, messages and other forms of social media trying to get in touch, but apparently that wasn't going to cut it.  After a long talk with my husband, we agreed I should just take the high road and walk away.  I hope we can talk in the future, but for now I'm baffled at what happened.

-Three-
A hidden gem from when we were putting nursery furniture together.

-Four-
I confess that I have a sip of every one of my husband's alcoholic drinks.  I even made him a Moscow mule a while back (evidence sitting on the window sill in above picture) just because I wanted a sip.  I do not feel guilty at all.

-Five-
I confess I'm still squeezing into my pre pregnancy workout clothes.  Yesterday was the last day I'm going to be able to put on my shorts or capris :(.  I do feel guilty for buying pregnancy clothes, but a trip to Target is in my future today.  Thankfully most of my tops are still cutting it!

-Six-
I'm ready for football.  Cheese dip, Buffalo Chicken Dip, Football shaped cakes, pumpkin pie, (non-alcoholic) beer, and afternoon naps on the couch.  My favorite time of year!

Linking up with September F A R M and A Blonde Ambition today!
