Pumpkin Patch 2016

The perk to traveling/working long days, is the ability to flex off a Friday.  Last week #wiggydiggy and I joined up with a girl friend and her two little boys to visit a pumpkin patch.

I'll admit, I've been spoiled by Nebraska with  Vala's Pumpkin Patch and Roca Berry Farm.  But the Vaughn Pumpkin Patch in Vaughn, MT was perfect for our little nuggets!  The weather was just right and the boys had an absolute blast.

Who knew that a tire full of corn could be found outside of Nebraska?!  Haha.

If We Met for Coffee

I've seen this around blogland for a few years.  Time to jump on the bandwagon #betterlatethannever

If we met for coffee...

I'd ask you on a nice weather day so we could go to my favorite local place.  They only have outdoor seating and a drive thru so we'd sit where we could soak up some sun before winter comes.

The gals know my order and hand over my Snicker doodle Latte with a smiley face drawn on.

I'd ask you how you are and how your job is going.
(yes, SAHM is a job)

I'd compliment your shoes and ask you where you are finding cute clothes right now.

I'd end up talking a little too long about potty training and then segueing into talking about my son for a bit too long.  I hope you'll humor me ;)

My anxiety will kick in and I'll panic and ask you a ton of questions quickly to cover up my conversation monopoly.

Then I'll ask if you're hungry, because they have the BEST breakfast pasty's but I can't eat a whole one.

I'll complain about small town living and beg your for suggestions of fun things to do around here.

We'll run out of time and I'll ask you for a wine date later.

Weekend Happenings

It's a rainy Monday here.  This weekend was sunny (albeit windy) and we enjoyed as much outdoor time as we could squeeze in.

And of course, visited a pumpkin patch. :)  #obligatorypumpkinpicture

He only wanted to take home one he could pick up.

Eyes closed, after the jump into the leaves.

Five on Friday

YAY!  IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!

I seem to only make it to this blog twice a week these days.  I have a few post half written, so once I'm done traveling I should be able to crank out a few more life happenings for you.

1.
I did it!  I snagged the Toms Desert Wedge Boots I had my eye on over Columbus Day for a killer price.  Thank you holidays for the dependable sales/coupons.

I know Target has a knock-off that has a very appealing price, but the reviews are scattered on size.  They aren't in my local store and I'm hesitant to buy without trying on.  Half the shoes I buy at Target are returned due to size.  But let me know if you've gotten a pair!

2.
Three car loads of stuff have been donated and I'm working on filling two more boxes as I type this.
Going Minimalist has been so freeing.

HOW do we accumulate so much stuff? (OK, half is baby stuff I've been selling/donating, but STILL)

3.
I've talked about Going Natural a few times before.  Now that cold/flu season has hit, I'm updating our medicine cabinet with more natural options.

Check out Bridget at Tales of Me and The Husband.  I use a lot of her recommendations for homeopathic remedies.

I'm currently on Coldcalm and Sinusalia.

My cold is already fading out, a whole three days before normal (for me).

4.
This boy has become obsessed with the potty.  So we've started potty training!  It's been going well so far and I have no expectations for him to be fully trained in the next few months.  He's not yet 2!

Any products you recommend?

5.

I am so excited to start meal planning again.

While I travel I make a rotation of about 5 meals on the nights I'm home.  Justin and #wiggydiggy eat left overs, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, or pizza when I'm gone.

If you have a favorite, easy weeknight recipe, send it my way!

Have a beautiful weekend.
