Oh Hey! Confessional Friday

Earlier this week I was floored August was almost here.  Now, I'm overjoyed.  July is always such a BUSY month.  There is never enough time to get everything in and my to do list always collects dust.  Fall can start showing up now :)

-One-
In anticipation of getting our to do list back on track, I posted on our Helena Classifieds site: One trash can full of lava rock - free - you haul.
I had no idea what was going to happen.  20 minutes later I have messages coming from every direction of people wanting to come shovel out our gardens and haul it off....for FREE!!

Looks like we are going to work on landscaping projects instead of the bathroom for now.  If you didn't know (which most of you don't) our yard is fully landscaped.  The entire perimeter of our house, fences, trees and side yard are all encased in at least three feet of lava rock.  It's been a daunting task that Justin and I have been dreading getting to and now that's all going to change.  Exciting!

Just a teeny tiny preview of what we are working with

-Two-
This week has been a roller coaster with friends.  A girlfriend fell off the radar about a month ago and just showed back up angrier than ever at me.  I had sent texts, messages and other forms of social media trying to get in touch, but apparently that wasn't going to cut it.  After a long talk with my husband, we agreed I should just take the high road and walk away.  I hope we can talk in the future, but for now I'm baffled at what happened.

-Three-
A hidden gem from when we were putting nursery furniture together.

-Four-
I confess that I have a sip of every one of my husband's alcoholic drinks.  I even made him a Moscow mule a while back (evidence sitting on the window sill in above picture) just because I wanted a sip.  I do not feel guilty at all.

-Five-
I confess I'm still squeezing into my pre pregnancy workout clothes.  Yesterday was the last day I'm going to be able to put on my shorts or capris :(.  I do feel guilty for buying pregnancy clothes, but a trip to Target is in my future today.  Thankfully most of my tops are still cutting it!

-Six-
I'm ready for football.  Cheese dip, Buffalo Chicken Dip, Football shaped cakes, pumpkin pie, (non-alcoholic) beer, and afternoon naps on the couch.  My favorite time of year!

Linking up with September F A R M and A Blonde Ambition today!

    1. Thanks Terri! I'm planning to do a nursery reveal once our little bambino arrives this December.

  2. Landscaping is A LOT of work...but it's worth it when your yard/house look nice...but I swear, it's NEVER-ENDING work...there's always something else that needs to be done! You definitely made the right decision re: the dramatic friend. We just don't have time for the junior high cattiness anymore! If it's meant to be, your friendship will fall back into place.

  3. So strange about your friend. I hate conflict/confrontation so that sounds like the worst day ever to me. Walking away is for sure right! :)
Thank you for linking up with Karli and I.
    Have a great weekend.
